Import TK-5 Standards Sections and Student Schedules

Standards sections and student scheduling can be imported en-masse based on homeroom scheduling. The following instructions will show you how to download and import these files. It is best to wait until homerooms have been leveled to run this task. Special attention to Dual Immersion schools as they have additional files to download/import.

 

Any existing standards schedules will be ignored and not be imported as part of this process.

 

Start by selecting the School on the upper-left, and verify you are in the correct term

 

Download Sections and Student Schedule files

  1. Click System Reports
  2. Click the TIS tab
  3. Click to download the following files:
    1. Standards Sections File
    2. Standards CC File
    3. For Dual Immersion schools:
      1. Standards Sections for DI Mandarin (Northrup Only)
      2. Standards CC File for DI Mandarin (Northrup Only)
      3. Standards Sections for DI Spanish (Fremont Only)
      4. Standards CC File for DI Spanish (Fremont Only)

 

Import Sections

  1. Click Special Functions on the left-side menu
  2. Click Importing & Exporting
  3. Click Quick Import
  4. For Table, select Sections (Master Schedule)
  5. For File to import, browse for the Standards Sections file you downloaded
  6. Click Import
  7. Click to check the Check to exclude first row setting
  8. Click Submit

(Repeat for the DI sections file if it applies)

 

Import Student Schedules

  1. Click Special Functions on the left-side menu
  2. Click Importing & Exporting
  3. Click Quick Import
  4. For Table, select Student Schedules
  5. For File to import, browse for the StandardsCC file you downloaded
  6. Click Import
  7. Click to check the Check to exclude first row setting
  8. Click Submit

(Repeat for the DI CC file if it applies)

 

 

Reset Class Counts (*not always necessary*)

When importing schedule, there are times class counts are not updated on the Teacher Schedules page. You can run the following steps to reset class counts to the proper totals.

  1. Click System
  2. Click Special Operations
  3. Select Reset Class Counts for the Operation (Param 1, Param 2, Code to be left blank)
  4. Click Submit
